Who I am

Welcome to my portfolio and blog. My name's Callum Gander. I'm a software engineer and writer, working and living in London, UK.

I want to find ways to meaningfully contribute to improving some of the systemic problems in the world and society today while developing a greater understanding of how the modern world and the technologies that built it work and can be improved.

What I'm working on

Currently, I'm working on SherpaPath, an app that utilizes OpenAI's GPT models to allow users to build support systems that help them keep on track of their habits by helping them with personalised reminders and a variety of AI powered tools.

Alongside this work, I'm exploring and building my technical skills more broadly, developing my skills with tooling like React Native and various data handling tooling within the Python ecosystem, such as Pandas, Pytorch and more.

Whenever I have the chance, I'm also working on my writing, primarily focusing on science fictions novels. I'm currently hoping to finish my final draft for my first novel, Spiked Light, by the end of this year and attempt to get it published.
